According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 7:00 AM on April 12, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake recorded an upstream water level at an elevation of 113.59m, 6.41m lower than the normal water level.
The water flow to the reservoir reached 113 m3/s; the total discharge through the plant was 202.26 m3/s, without overflowing.
In the Northwest region, the water levels of Lai Chau, Ban Chat and Huoi Quang reservoirs continue to be low compared to the normal water level.
Lai Chau Lake reached 288.9m, inflow to the lake 96 m3/s, not yet discharged. Ban Chat Lake is at an altitude of 431.49m, inflow 4 m3/s.
Huo Huoi Quang Lake reached 369.53m, with a flow rate of 5 m3/s; all three lakes did not generate discharge flow.
Son La Lake recorded an upstream water level of 210.58m, water inflow to the lake of 90 m3/s, not yet discharged through the spillway dam and the plant.
Notably, Hoa Binh reservoir reached a water level of 114.19m, lower than the normal water level by 2.81m. Water flow to the reservoir was at 1.702 m3/s; total discharge through the plant was 1.135 m3/s, without overflowing and without opening deep discharge gates, surface discharge.
Thac Ba Lake has a water level of 53.01m, a flow rate of 75 m3/s, and has not yet been discharged for regulation.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for April 12, the area from Thanh Hoa to Hue City from April 12-13, is forecast to have intense and especially intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 38-40 degrees C, with some places above 40 degrees C.
The Northwest region, Da Nang City and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will have hot and intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 36-38 degrees C, in some places above 38 degrees C.
