The water level of most hydropower reservoirs in the Central and Central Highlands regions on July 17 continued to be lower than the normal water level.

According to reservoir operation data, at 2:00 PM on July 17, in the North Central region, Trung Son reservoir had a water level of 149.98 m, 10.02 m lower than the normal water level. The inflow to the reservoir reached 397 m3/s, total discharge volume 232 m3/s, all through the plant.

Ban Ve Lake recorded a water level of 173.38 m, 26.62 m lower than the normal water level, water flow to the lake 121 m3/s and has not been discharged.

Khe Bo Lake has a water level of 64.31 m, 0.69 m lower than the normal water level. The lake discharges 210.3 m3/s, all through the plant.

Quang Tri Lake reached a water level of 460.78 m, 19.22 m lower than the normal water level, discharging 18 m3/s through the plant.

In the South Central Coast, A Vuong Lake has a water level of 353.83 m, 26.17 m lower than the normal water level; Song Bung 2 Lake is 27.4 m lower; Song Bung 4 Lake is 12.45 m lower; Song Tranh 2 Lake is 22.01 m lower.

Vinh Son A, Vinh Son B and Vinh Son C reservoirs are all lower than the normal water level by 7.71 m, 8.09 m and 8.97 m respectively. In which, Vinh Son B, Vinh Son C and Song Bung 2 have not yet discharged water.

Song Ba Ha Lake has a water level of 102.8 m, 2.2 m lower than the normal water level, with a total discharge volume of 120 m3/s through the plant. Song Hinh Lake reached 201.74 m, 7.26 m lower, discharging 15.22 m3/s.

In the Central Highlands, Ialy Lake has a water level of 499.15 m, 15.85 m lower than the normal water level. The inflow to the lake reached 623 m3/s and has not been discharged.

Pleikrông Lake has a water level of 547.98 m, 22.02 m lower, total discharge volume of 194 m3/s through the plant. Se San 4 Lake discharges 340 m3/s through the plant with a water level of 211.85 m, 3.15 m lower than the normal water level.

Se San 3, Se San 3A, Srepok 3, Buon Tua Srah, Ham Thuan, Da Mi and Thuong Kon Tum reservoirs have not yet discharged water.

Notably, An Khe Lake is operating 1 surface discharge gate, discharging 4 m3/s through the spillway. Buon Kuop Lake maintains 1 deep discharge gate, discharging 15.05 m3/s through the spillway.

For the group of reservoirs on the Dong Nai river system, the latest data shows that Dong Nai 3 reservoir (updated on July 15) has a water level of 570.37 m, 0.37 m higher than the dead water level and 19.63 m lower than the normal water level; Dong Nai 4 reservoir reached 475.09 m, 0.91 m lower than the normal water level.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 17, the mountainous and midland areas of the Northern region will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain; other places in the Northern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms.

The Central region will be sunny during the day, with hot sun in some places with the highest temperature around 33 - 36 degrees C, and above 36 degrees C in some places.

The Southern region has showers and thunderstorms in some places; especially in the afternoon and evening there are scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some places.
