At about 5 am on April 23, people exercising discovered the body of a baby girl in the ecological lake in residential area 577, Truong Quang Trong ward (Quang Ngai), so they reported it to functional agencies.
Immediately after that, local authorities and functional forces were present and organized to bring the victim's body ashore.
The victim's identity was identified as N.Q. C (15 years old), residing in the locality. His family is classified as a poor household. He himself has mental illness, often wanders around, picking up scrap metal on the roads to earn a living.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Cong Chien - Head of Truong Quang Trong Ward Police said that through investigation and verification, functional forces determined that the girl unfortunately fell into the lake while moving, leading to death due to drowning, with no signs of external impact.
Currently, local officers and soldiers have called for and mobilized support sources to encourage and share the pain and loss with N.Q. C.'s family.
