Set up 56 growing area codes
Last year, the area planted with key crops reached more than 312,000 hectares, with an estimated output of 1.16 million tons. In particular, long-term industrial crops continued to hold their position.
Total pepper output is estimated at 72,000 tons, 1,315 tons more than last year. Total cashew output is estimated at 15,700 tons, 8,403 tons more than last year.
Coffee is in the main harvest season, with an estimated output of 141,000 tons so far, and an estimated output of 352,580 tons for the whole year.
Rubber is also being harvested, with an estimated output of 30,500 tons in 2024, about 235 tons more than the same period last year...
Dak Nong has also recorded success in applying technology to agricultural production. The agricultural sector has actively supported and guided enterprises, cooperatives, and cooperative groups to participate in establishing and registering codes for growing areas and packaging facilities.
To date, the province has established and maintained 56 growing area codes and packaging facilities for export, meeting international standards.
Agricultural extension programs, workshops and trainings have helped raise farmers' awareness of sustainable production, especially in the application of digital technology and organic fertilizers.
Supporting agricultural and rural development
By 2024, the province will have 40/60 communes meeting new rural standards. Of these, 5 communes will meet advanced new rural standards. This result shows the determination and effective coordination between local authorities and people.
The locality also pays great attention to the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program. To date, the province has 124 products from 97 entities. Of these, 17 OCOP products have achieved 4 stars and 107 OCOP products have achieved 3 stars.

Hundreds of OCOP products have been put on e-commerce platforms. The agricultural sector has supported the establishment of 6 OCOP product introduction points in the province.
Dak Nong province also promotes the role of cooperatives in connecting and forming production chains.
The province currently has 113 production and consumption links for agricultural products according to value chains in 11 agricultural product sectors. Of these, 80 are links of agricultural cooperatives.
Agricultural cooperatives have played an intermediary role between producers and consumers, building concentrated raw material areas to meet market demand.
Cooperatives help improve capacity, apply advances and techniques in production; increase added value for the agricultural product value chain through developing preliminary processing and agricultural product processing activities...
