Hanoi Drainage One Member Co., Ltd. has just reported on the drainage situation due to the impact of the rain at 1:00 p.m. on September 30.
Regarding the rainfall, due to the influence of the circulation of storm No. 10 Bualoi, there will be scattered rain in the city from 7am to 11am and concentrated rain from 11am to 1pm (some areas will have over 150mm of rain in 120 minutes).
The amount of rain measured from 7am to 1pm on September 30 in O Cho Dua ward was 319 mm, Hai Ba Trung ward was 195.3 mm; Thanh Liet ward was 160 mm; Vinh Thanh commune was 310.5 mm...
At 1:00 p.m. on September 30, the To Lich River (at Hoang Quoc Viet) recorded water levels of 6.11 m; the To Lich River (at the TL of Thanh Liet Dam) 4.94 m; the Lu River (at the TL/HL of Lu Set Trade Center) 3.01 m; the Kim Nguu River (TL of the quay culvert) 3.76 m.
Previously, at 7:00 a.m. the same day, the To Lich River (at Hoang Quoc Viet) only recorded water levels of 3.85 m; the To Lich River (at TL at Thanh Liet dam) 2.90 m.
Thus, after only 6 hours, the water level of To Lich River has risen to 2.04 - 2.26 m.



Regarding the flooding situation, due to the impact of heavy rain, 65 flooded areas appeared in the city.
Hanoi Drainage One Member Co., Ltd. has deployed forces to be on duty at key points to handle flooding. Reasonable operation of the main pumping stations on the system: Yen So pumping station (operating 20/20 pumping stations) and 100% of the capacity of the pumping stations: Cau Buu, Dong Bong 1 and 2 pumping stations, Co Nhue pumping station, Da Sy pumping station... to quickly lower the water level in the system.
The blast gates operate according to the correct procedures, ensuring traffic safety in low-lying areas.
Regarding the work of ensuring the operation of the drainage system, as soon as it rained, the Company deployed on-duty work, resolved drainage, collected garbage at collection points throughout the management area, opened the floodgates of regulating lakes and properly operated the main pumping stations to lower the water level on the system in accordance with regulations.
As of 1:00 p.m. on September 30, the city was still raining, and the Company's forces and vehicles continued to be on duty and operate the main pumping stations according to the process to lower the water level of the system, clean and clear the flow.
According to the forecast of the Northern Hydrometeorological Station from noon on September 30 to the evening, Hanoi will continue to have moderate rain, heavy rain to very heavy rain and thunderstorms. The company continues to closely monitor weather developments, prepare forces and will update reports when there are new developments.
