On July 9, a clip appeared on social networks recording the scene of black sewage flowing rushing to Sam Son beach. Witnessing this scene, many tourists expressed concern when coming here to relax and swim.

Providing information about the incident, a representative of the leadership of Sam Son Ward People's Committee confirmed that the incident occurred on the afternoon of July 8, in the wastewater drainage area near Bai Bai C.
Explaining the reason, a representative of Sam Son Ward People's Committee said that on the afternoon of July 8, there was very heavy rain in the area, the pumping system could not drain in time, causing wastewater to overflow into the sea.
After the incident occurred, the locality mobilized machinery and manpower to overcome it. Currently, the ward is implementing the upgrading of 4 collection pits and discharge gates to control wastewater, even in case of heavy rain.

According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, by the morning of July 9, functional forces mobilized 2 excavators and manpower to be present at the incident site, temporarily filling the sewer area, not allowing wastewater to continue flowing to the beach.
In this area, wastewater no longer flows into the sea, but the incident left a deep, tens of meters long ditch on the sandy beach.
According to some people who witnessed the incident, at about 2 pm on July 8, after a heavy rain, the sewer area suddenly burst, wastewater flowed out strongly, black and smelled foul.
Immediately after that, functional forces used excavators to temporarily fill the wastewater sewer area, and at the same time continued to handle it to limit the impact on the beach environment.
