On December 11, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction said it was focusing on coordinating with relevant units to speed up the progress of two major transport projects, the An Phu intersection and the My Thuy intersection.
The An Phu intersection started construction at the end of 2022, located at the eastern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City with a total investment of more than VND 3,400 billion. According to the plan, the project must be completed in December 2025 but is currently behind schedule compared to the set target.
The leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Department of Construction have held many meetings to inspect the site, direct the investor to handle problems and speed up construction.
To date, some important items such as Ba Dat Bridge, Giong Ong To Bridge and HC1-01 underpass (through Mai Chi Tho - Dong Van Cong intersection) have been basically completed and put into use.

The N2 bridge branch (right from the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway to Mai Chi Tho street) is expected to be completed before December 31, 2025.
The HC1-02 underpass connecting directly to the expressway with Mai Chi Tho Street (towards the Saigon River tunnel) will be completed before February 17, 2026.
Branches N3, N4 and bridges N1.1, N1.3 (left from Mai Chi Tho Street to the expressway) are expected to be completed before April 30, 2026.
The entire An Phu intersection is expected to be completed in 2026.

With My Thuy intersection, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction said that the investor is also mobilizing maximum human resources and equipment to keep up with the progress after many years of construction.
The right turn from Dong Van Cong Street to Vo Chi Cong and from Dong Van Cong Street to Nguyen Thi Dinh Street are expected to be completed before January 31, 2026.
The remaining branches and Ky Ha 4 bridge will be completed in February 2026. The entire project will be completed in 2026.
The My Thuy intersection project started in 2016, including two component projects: construction and installation with a cost of VND 1,826 billion and compensation and site clearance of more than VND 1,623 billion.
After nearly 10 years of implementation, the project has just completed some items such as Ky Ha 3 bridge, Ring Road 2 overpass, left underpass from Ring Road 2 to Cat Lai and My Thuy 3 bridge.
