According to the reporter, after more than 9 months of starting construction in phase 3, the My Thuy intersection project (HCMC) is being accelerated with many new bridge piers and routes gradually taking shape.

The My Thuy intersection construction project is a key project of Ho Chi Minh City to help reduce traffic pressure for the Cat Lai port area and Phu My bridge, which started construction in 2016. The project plays a role in connecting the main roads of Nguyen Thi Dinh, Dong Van Cong and Ring Road 2 ( Vo Chi Cong) - the area with the densest density of freight transport vehicles in the city.
The project has a total investment of about VND 3,400 billion, including construction and installation (VND 1,826 billion) and compensation and resettlement site clearance (over VND 1,623 billion).

The My Thuy intersection project is divided into three phases. Phase 1 and 2 have completed many items from 20192021, specifically: Ky Ha 3 bridge (left branch), overpass on Ring Road 2 (left branch), left turn underpass from Ring Road 2 to Cat Lai and My Thuy 3 bridge with a scale of 6 lanes.
By March 14, 2025, the final items of phase 3 of the project were officially started, with the goal of completing after 1 year to improve the prolonged congestion at the eastern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City.

Recorded at the construction site, the construction atmosphere has recently become bustling, construction units mobilized maximum human resources and equipment to closely follow the progress before the rainy season.
The overpass on Ring Road 2 - the right branch has a main structure that is gradually taking shape. The contractor organizes continuous construction, dividing into many teams to speed up the progress.

Overpass No. 2: There are nearly 10 bridge piers extending from Pha Cat Lai - Phu My bridge under construction and ready to enter the girder construction phase.
Service routes: The service road system including routes 1, 2 and 3 in phase 3 also has significant changes.

Route No. 2 (running from Cat Lai ferry, following the My Thuy bridges) is currently being leveled, creating a roadbed.
Route No. 3 (located at the foot of My Thuy 2 bridge and connecting to Phu My bridge) is being implemented more slowly due to land conditions and construction coordination.

My Thuy intersection is designed with a scale of 3 floors, one of the largest complex intersections in the east of the city, directly serving Cat Lai port cluster - where the largest customs clearance volume in the country is.

For many years, My Thuy has always been a "black spot" of traffic congestion in Ho Chi Minh City. When completed, the project will help increase traffic capacity, reduce traffic conflicts, improve prolonged traffic congestion at Nguyen Thi Dinh - Dong Van Cong axes and Ring Road 2, while serving the city's socio-economic development.
According to the plan, the investor aims to complete the entire project by April 30, 2026, contributing to the completion of the eastern gateway traffic network of Ho Chi Minh City.
