On May 23, information from Market Management Team No. 6 (Nghe An Market Management Department) said that the unit had just coordinated with functional forces to inspect and discover a truck with license plate UN 3899 driven by Mr. Le Thanh Luu (residing in Nai Hiep village, Trieu Ai commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province), transporting 1,240 smuggled cosmetic products.
According to the authorities, all cosmetics include skin creams originating from Thailand, but do not have a Chinese label, do not record the date of manufacture, expiration date and do not have a product declaration form or Free circulation Certificate (CFS) as prescribed for imported goods.
The market management force has administratively fined Mr. Luu 10 million VND for the violation and forced the destruction of all the violating shipments.
Also during this time, Nghe An provincial authorities continued to discover a truck with license plate 74C-xxx driven by Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan (residing in Phu Xuan district, Hue city) transporting 3 tons of Thai golden sand sugar brand BURIRAM SUAR ( type 50kg/bag), with a total value of about 45 million VND.
All of the above goods did not have a sub-label in Vietnamese and there were no invoices or documents proving their legal origin at the time of inspection.
The cases are continuing to be processed by the authorities according to regulations.
