According to the Commander of Military Region 5, the Unmanned Vehicle Battalion is a new specialized combat force, playing an increasingly important role in performing combat missions in the air, ground and water. The reality of recent conflicts in the world shows that unmanned vehicles are creating profound changes in combat methods, contributing to improving combat effectiveness and limiting loss of personnel and equipment.

To quickly put the new unit into stable and effective operation, Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Hai requested the Party Committee and Battalion commanders to thoroughly grasp the position and importance of a high-tech combat unit.
