According to the Ha Tinh Department of Construction, the North-South high-speed railway project is expected to pass through 23 communes and wards of Ha Tinh with a length of about 103.42 km. Preliminary statistics show that it is expected to reclaim more than 760 hectares of land of all kinds.
The scope of site clearance affects nearly 1,800 households, of which it is expected to resettle about 1,300 households and relocate many graves, infrastructure, and other technical works.
Recently, localities have completed reviewing the total land acquisition cost and central budget capital needs in 2025 as required by the Ministry of Construction.
Based on the site clearance boundary and the preliminary review results, the total cost of site clearance for the project through Ha Tinh is estimated at about VND 8,462 billion.
Ha Tinh plans to build 35 resettlement areas in 18 communes and wards. In particular, on August 19, construction of the first resettlement area in Ha Huy Tap ward began.
According to the Ha Tinh Department of Construction, the remaining 34 resettlement areas, currently 21 resettlement areas have approved detailed planning/approved master plan; are implementing surveys, project design; the remaining 13 resettlement areas are implementing planning work.
According to Mr. Le Anh Son - Deputy Director of the Ha Tinh Department of Construction, localities must focus on speeding up the planning progress, completing procedures to ensure the simultaneous start of construction of resettlement areas in October 2025 according to the plan.
Previously, Ha Tinh province also proposed that the Ministry of Construction study and adjust a number of sections of the route due to overlap and impact on key projects and works in the province. In which, there is a section overlapping with the existing North - South expressway.
