On October 18, a reporter's record at the Cao Bang City Stadium area (old name) showed that the entire project was almost completely seriously damaged after the major flood caused by the circulation of storm No. 11.
The wall system around the stadium has completely collapsed, the grass surface is covered with mud and garbage. Inside, there are only two relatively intact stands, but there are also many cracks, posing a potential risk of insecurity.

Mr. Nong Cong Hoa, a resident of Thuc Phan ward, recalled: On the evening of October 7, when the floodwaters rose rapidly and the city center was submerged in water, we heard that the stadium wall had collapsed. This project was built a long time ago and has suffered two consecutive floods, so collapse is inevitable."
Cao Bang City Stadium is located on Vuon Cam Street, Hop Giang Ward (now Thuc Phan Ward), a project bearing a strong historical mark - where President Ho Chi Minh visited and talked to the people in 28.

For local people, this is not only a place for sports activities but also a cultural symbol, a memory that has been associated with many generations.
Mr. Kim Tien Dung - Director of the Center for Sports and Art Training and Competition of Cao Bang province - said: "In the coming week, the unit will coordinate with departments and branches to conduct a survey and prepare a detailed report on the current status of the stadium.

We will quickly organize the cleaning of mud and waste to ensure hygiene, and at the same time recommend that the authorities soon have a plan to repair and restore sports training and competition activities".
After the flood, the stadium, which was once the pride of the people of Cao Bang, now has only the ruined walls left. The restoration of the project is not only a sports need but also a way to preserve a part of the historical memory of this borderland.
