According to statistics from the culture and tourism sector of Thai Nguyen province, from the beginning of the year to now, the locality has welcomed more than 2.6 million tourist arrivals.
In which, international visitors reached 79,642, domestic visitors reached 2.5 million. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at 3,604 billion VND.
The increase in the number of visitors since the beginning of the year is associated with the fact that localities organize many traditional festivals after the Lunar New Year.
In 2026, Thai Nguyen aims to welcome about 8 million visitors, an increase of 9.6% compared to 2025.
Of which, about 300,000 international visitors, 7.7 million domestic visitors. Total tourism revenue strives to reach 11,000 billion VND, an increase of 47.7%.
To realize this goal, the locality will continue to improve mechanisms and policies to support tourism development. At the same time, strengthen inspection and supervision of tourism activities, ensure security and safety, and improve service quality.
