According to Lao Dong Newspaper, at around 8:30 a.m. on April 28, Yen Bai city began to rain. The heavy rain continued, and by around 9:30 a.m., many streets in the area were flooded.
Through observation, roads such as Quang Trung, Le Van Tam, Dien Bien, Km3 Dai Dong, National Highway 70, Kim Dong, ... were deeply flooded after a period of heavy rain.
In addition to flooding, some trees planted on the road were uprooted and broken, making traffic difficult.

It is known that in the past 6 hours (from 4am to 10am on April 28), the district: Luc Yen, Van Yen, Yen Bai city, had moderate rain, heavy rain, some places had very heavy rain such as: Lam Thuong 32.6 mm ( Luc Yen); Mo Vang 1 30.8 mm (Van Yen); Yen Ninh ward 51.2 mm, Irrigation Department 33.8 mm (Yen Bai city);
It is forecasted that in the next 6 hours, areas in the province will continue to have rain. The common accumulated rainfall is from 10 - 30mm, in some places over 50mm.
