On December 11, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Finance of Quang Ngai province - said that in the past time, based on the socio-economic development orientation of the locality, Quang Ngai province has attracted, called for and granted investment licenses for many projects using non-budgetary capital in the area.
Some projects have been completed and put into operation, creating many jobs for workers, contributing to the budget revenue and contributing to the socio-economic development of the province. However, during the implementation process, some projects encountered difficulties and problems, leading to delays.

In order to remove long-standing backlogs and implement the direction and guidance of central agencies, Quang Ngai province has established a Steering Committee to review and remove difficulties for backlog projects according to Decision No. 76/QD-UBND dated September 15, 2025. The Steering Committee is headed by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; the Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee are Deputy Heads of the Committee.
After the establishment, the members of the Steering Committee based on the assigned tasks and the Central Steering documents to urgently review and propose specific solutions for each project.
The Steering Committee also met, reviewed and reported to the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance and central ministries and branches to review and study specific mechanisms - similar to those applied by some provinces - to remove difficulties for 65 projects, including: Residential area and urban area project groups: 50 projects; Commercial - service project groups: 4 projects; Project groups in other fields: 11 projects.
Quang Ngai province is continuing to review, update and supplement projects with difficulties and problems to propose solutions to remove them, ensure completion of investment and put projects into operation, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
The province is currently waiting for the direction of the Prime Minister and central agencies. After being reviewed and having a mechanism to resolve the issue, the Provincial People's Committee will focus on reviewing each project, applying current laws and specific mechanisms to handle problems, ensure progress and put the project into use.
