On November 29, the 53rd Conference of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Executive Committee met with high consensus to establish Ky Anh city.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh - Permanent Vice Chairman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee, on behalf of the Party Committee of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee, has just signed a submission to the Standing Committee of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee requesting the establishment of Ky Anh city.
According to this report, the construction of Ky Anh town into a provincial city by 2025, a civilized urban area, associated with the development of Vung Ang Economic Zone is in line with the development orientation of Ha Tinh province.
Ky Anh city was established from the entire natural area and the entire population of Ky Anh town with a development orientation in 2 areas.
In particular, the inner city space is expected to expand with an area of 221.81 km2 and 94,606 people including 6 wards: Hung Tri, Ky Trinh, Ky Thinh, Ky Long, Ky Lien, Ky Phuong, Ky Ninh and Ky Nam (According to the Resolution on administrative unit arrangement issued by the National Assembly, Ky Ninh commune and Ky Nam commune will be upgraded to wards from January 1, 2025).
The suburban area is expected to have an area of 63.73km2, 25,545 people including 3 communes: Ky Ha, Ky Loi and Ky Hoa.
The master plan of Ky Anh town to 2035 determines that Ky Anh urban area is the comprehensive economic center in the South of Ha Tinh province, an urban area with an important role in promoting the socio-economic development of the North Central region.
According to Ha Tinh province, in recent times, Ky Anh town has developed into a modern and dynamic urban area; socio-economic results have achieved many positive results, economic growth rate has always been maintained at a fairly good level.
The economic structure has shifted positively towards increasing the proportion of industry - construction and services; increasing the proportion of non-agricultural labor and reducing the proportion of agricultural labor. Average income per capita reached 62.65 million VND/person/year.
Culture and society in the area are cared for and focused on; social infrastructure and technical infrastructure systems are invested in upgrading and synchronously built; the basic traffic system is paved with asphalt and concrete.

Ky Anh town has Vung Ang Economic Zone and 2 port clusters of Vung Ang and Son Duong with nearly 500 large and small enterprises investing, creating jobs for more than 20,000 local workers and neighboring areas.
Ky Anh town currently has 6 wards including: Hung Tri, Ky Lien, Ky Long, Ky Phuong, Ky Thinh, Ky Trinh and 5 communes including: Ky Ha, Ky Hoa, Ky Loi, Ky Nam, Ky Ninh.
