As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, at the Center for National Defense and Security Education - Thai Nguyen University, an incident occurred with hundreds of students suspected of food poisoning on the morning of October 14.
According to the report of the Thai Nguyen Department of Health, 281 students were affected, of which 9 cases had to be transferred to Thai Nguyen A Hospital for monitoring, with no deaths.

The inspection team of the Department of Health recorded many violations in the kitchen area such as direct processing staff not wearing masks, gloves, and not wearing hats during the processing.
The storage of food samples in violation of legal regulations makes it difficult for specialized agencies to determine and assess the cause of the incident.
Nam Thanh Ha Noi Company Limited - the unit that provided the meals was later administratively fined 20 million VND for violating regulations on food safety.

Regarding the incident, according to Mr. Tran Hoang Tinh - Deputy Director of the Center for National Defense and Security Education, the Center will terminate the contract with Nam Thanh Hanoi Company Limited.
At the same time, the unit will study and build an internal kitchen model, directly providing meals to students to control quality and ensure food safety to prevent similar incidents from recurring in the future.
