On January 2, according to information from the People's Committee of Nghe An province, at the end of fiscal year 2025, the budget revenue structure continued to record the key role of domestic revenue, reaching 27,097 billion VND, accounting for a large proportion of total budget revenue. Revenue from import and export activities reached 1,981 billion VND; aid revenue 14 billion VND; revenue from mobilization and sponsorship 119 billion VND.

Last year, the province set a domestic revenue target (excluding land use fees and construction lottery) of 13,955 billion VND; revenue from land use fees of 10,270 billion VND; revenue from import and export activities of 1,650 billion VND. Reality shows that many important targets have been completed and exceeded the plan, creating a clear mark in revenue management, exploitation and nurturing sustainable revenue sources.
Notably, this result was achieved in the context of 2025, Nghe An continuously being affected by natural disasters, especially storms No. 3, 5 and 10, causing great damage to production, business and people's lives. This shows the great efforts of the entire political system in managing socio-economic development.
With budget revenue close to the 30,000 billion VND mark, Nghe An has completed the goal of the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, which sets the target of budget revenue in 2025 to reach from 26,000-30,000 billion VND.
Stepping into a new phase, the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, sets the target of increasing state budget revenue in the area by an average of 12% or more per year.
To concretize this orientation, the Resolution on the 5-year financial plan for the period 2026-2030, approved by the Provincial People's Council at the 35th session at the end of 2025, sets a target for total budget revenue for the entire period to reach about 148,000-149,000 billion VND, of which domestic revenue is about 137,000-138,000 billion VND, and revenue from import and export activities is about 10,000-111,000 billion VND.
