Dong Nai - On August 6, the Provincial People's Committee has just sent a document to the Ministry of Construction on adding a high-speed railway station on the North - South axis in Xuan Hoa commune.

According to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, the project dossier was approved in Dong Nai province, planning to arrange the locations of passenger stations, cargo stations, and maintenance stations including: 1 passenger station in the Long Thanh International Airport area; 1 cargo station in Quang Tien commune, Trang Bom district (formerly), now Trang Bom commune; 2 technical maintenance stations in Xuan Tam commune, Xuan Loc district (formerly), now Xuan Hoa commune and Cam Duong commune, Long Thanh district (formerly), now Xuan Duong commune.

Thus, the section of the high-speed railway project on the North - South axis through Dong Nai province is 82 km long, but only 1 passenger terminal is arranged in the Long Thanh airport area.

Meanwhile, the eastern area of Dong Nai province, especially the areas of Xuan Loc, Xuan Phu, Xuan Hoa communes, has great potential for socio-economic development, large land funds and strategic position in connecting the province with the South Central Coast provinces through National Highway 1 and the Dau Giay - Phan Thiet Expressway.

Therefore, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province proposed that the Ministry of Construction consider and approve the policy of assigning the Railway Project Management Board (Ministry of Construction) to coordinate with the consulting unit to research and add 1 passenger terminal in Xuan Hoa commune, Dong Nai province to the dossier of the North-South high-speed railway project.

Also according to the Provincial People's Committee, the location of the passenger station in Xuan Hoa commune ensures the distance to arrange an additional passenger station according to regulations.
