Can Gio district and Binh Thanh district have the same 5 landslide points, the remaining locations are scattered in District 12, Hoc Mon district, Cu Chi and Binh Chanh.
Currently, of the 31 landslide locations, 17 locations have approved embankment construction projects with a total length of more than 16 km and a total investment of more than 3,370 billion VND.
However, 14 locations still do not have embankment construction projects, causing many concerns in protecting people from the risk of continued landslides.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has directed departments, branches and localities to strengthen the removal of difficulties, speed up the progress of establishing and appraising embankment projects. The units assigned as investors need to promptly implement construction to complete the project and put it into use, in order to protect residential areas in the affected areas.

At the same time, the Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the Department of Transport to prioritize removing obstacles to promptly submit to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee a report to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council on key projects such as the embankment to prevent landslides on the right bank of the Saigon River (Binh Thanh District) and the bank of the Giong Ong To River (Thu Duc City).
