HCMC speeds up land acquisition for more than 1,500 households in 5 communes to build expressways

The Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai (Tay Ninh) expressway project has a total length of nearly 51 km, a total investment of nearly 20,000 billion VND, divided into 4 component projects.
Of which, the section passing through Ho Chi Minh City is about 24.7 km long, passing through 5 communes including Phu Hoa Dong, Nhuan Duc, Thai My, Tan An Hoi and Cu Chi commune.
Component project 3 (compensation, support, and resettlement through Ho Chi Minh City) reclaims about 220 hectares of land, affecting more than 2,121 households, with a total compensation, support and resettlement cost of more than VND 4,333 billion.
Among the affected localities, Phu Hoa Dong commune has the largest number of cases with about 1,184 households and organizations, followed by Nhuan Duc commune with about 588 cases, Thai My commune with 255 cases, Cu Chi commune with 76 cases and Tan An Hoi commune with 18 cases. See more...
HCMC proposes to build a 500-bed hospital worth nearly VND4,800 billion
According to the submission of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the project is being implemented in Tan Nhut commune, Ho Chi Minh City, with the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Civil and Industrial Works as the investor. The total estimated investment is VND 4,784 billion, using the City budget, allocated in the period of 20262030.
The project is identified as Group A, with the goal of building a modern practice hospital, meeting national standards and moving towards international standards, operating according to the advanced model of "School - School". Not only a high-quality medical examination and treatment facility serving the people, the hospital also plays the role of a center for training, practice and medical scientific research for Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, one of the city's key medical training institutions.
