On the afternoon of May 8, at the General Museum of Quang Binh province, the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Vietnam Press Museum organized the opening of the thematic exhibition "Vietnam Revolutionary Press - A century of Conclusion and Pride of Quang Binh Press".
The program is a practical activity to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1990 - May 19, 2025) and towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21,25 - June 21, 2025).
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the leaders of Quang Binh province, the Vietnam Journalists Association, leaders of the Vietnam Press Museum, and officials, reporters, journalists, youth union members and students of Quang Binh University.
Ms. Le Thi Hoai Huong - Director of the Quang Binh Provincial General Museum said that this thematic exhibition not only recreates the 100-year journey of formation and development of Vietnamese revolutionary press, but also an opportunity to honor the people who make Quang Binh newspapers - pioneering writers, contributing to writing the heroic history of the nation.
The exhibition space is divided into two main parts: "Vietnamese Revolutionary Press - A turned century" introducing the press journey from the first Thanh Nien newspaper in 1925 to the present, and "Proud of Quang Binh Press" recreating the role of local press in patriotic emulation movements such as Gio Dai Phong, Hai Gioi, along with big names such as General Vo Nguyen Giap, Bui Dinh Tuy, Pham Xuan Luc...
At the ceremony, the Quang Binh General Museum presented souvenirs to the Vietnam Press Museum, delegates performed the opening ribbon cutting ceremony and visited the exhibition.
The display will be open to the public from 8.5.2025 at the General Museum of Quang Binh Province. This is an opportunity for the public to better understand the noble mission of the revolutionary press and grateful to the generation of journalists who contributed to the revolutionary and development of the country.
