At around 11am on September 1, Le Hong Phong Street - the road leading to many agencies and cultural attractions - became a traffic hot spot. From the intersection of Hung Vuong Street to Dien Bien Phu intersection, thousands of vehicles crowded together. People driving motorbikes and cars inched into each meter, causing many people to sweat.
According to the reporter's records, many tourists from other provinces choose Hanoi as their destination for National Day. Le Hong Phong Street - a street surrounded by Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, and the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long - has become a gateway for sightseeing. Therefore, these streets are experiencing local traffic congestion.
Faced with the above situation, the Hanoi City Police force was mobilized to regulate. The whistles continuously rang, arms were raised high to direct traffic, but the flow of vehicles was still like a river flowing back.
