On the evening of October 22, information from the Poison Control Department, Nghe An General Hospital said that all 6 patients in the suspected alcohol poisoning case that occurred in Son Lam commune (Nghe An) on October 19 are still being actively treated.
According to the doctor, when admitted to the hospital, all 6 people were in a very serious condition, showing signs of acute poisoning with symptoms of respiratory inhibition, decreased consciousness, damage to the heart and many other organs.

After 3 days of resuscitation, 4 patients had their airbikes removed, but 2 cases were still on a ventilator, used detox drugs, respiratory - circulatory support and treatment of complications.
Previously, on the morning of October 19, 6 people living in Tan Lam village (Son Lam commune) organized a meal. During the meal, this group used grapefruit, self-cooked green tea and 3 types of wine soaked in forest trees of local households.
At around 11:30, all 6 people showed symptoms of poisoning, were taken to Ngoc Lam Health Station and then transferred to Thanh Chuong General Hospital and then Nghe An General Friendship Hospital.
The authorities seized 5 alcohol samples at the scene for testing, in order to determine the exact cause of the incident.
