On November 19, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province announced that Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province Pham Anh Tuan signed a decision to commend outstanding achievements for individuals and groups with achievements in searching and rescuing the YAK-130 plane crash.
Seven groups and 13 individuals were awarded for their outstanding achievements in the search and rescue of two pilots in the crash of the YAK-130 aircraft belonging to the Air Force Regiment 940, Air Force Officer School.
Seven collectives were awarded, including: Tay Son District People's Committee; cadres, people and armed forces of Vinh An commune; Infantry Battalion 52 and Regiment 739 under the Military Command of Binh Dinh province; Viettel Binh Dinh; Regiment 925 and Division 372 under the Air Defense - Air Force Service; Squadron 2, Regiment 940; Information Company, Regiment 940.
13 individuals, including: Mr. Phan Chi Hung - Chairman of Tay Son District People's Committee; Mr. Dinh Hoang Binh - Chairman of Vinh An Commune People's Committee; Major Bui Duc Canh - Deputy Chief of Staff, Staff of Regiment 940; Major Hoang Cung - Deputy Chief of Staff, Regiment 925; Senior Lieutenant Colonel Do Ngoc Truong - Deputy Regiment Commander - Military Training, Regiment 925; Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Cuong - Squadron Commander, Squadron 2, Regiment 940;

As reported by Lao Dong, at around 11am on November 6, a Yak-130 training aircraft encountered an accident, so the two pilots in the flight crew, Colonel Nguyen Van Son and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Quan, parachuted out of the aircraft. The location where the two pilots parachuted to safety was in Tay Xuan commune (Tay Son district).
The Yak-130 training aircraft that crashed belonged to Air Force Regiment 940, Air Force Officer School located in Binh Dinh province.
After nearly 13 hours of search and rescue, the two pilots in the flight crew, Colonel Nguyen Van Son and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Quan, were safely brought out of the forest and transferred to Military Hospital 13 (Quy Nhon City) for health care that night.
By the afternoon of November 8, authorities had discovered the location of the Yak-130 crash in Sub-area 428, Yok Don National Park in Krong Na Commune, Buon Don District (Dak Lak Province). By the evening of November 9, the Yak-130 was removed from the scene.
