Ready to serve the people smoothly
Buon Don is the border commune of Dak Lak province with the largest natural area in the country with an area of 1,113.79km2. Buon Don commune is also considered the heart of Yok Don National Park - the most famous and largest special-use Hop Hop forest in Vietnam.
Buon Don commune is home to many ethnic minorities such as: E De, M' Nong, Laos... with many unique traditional cultural values.
On July 1, the border commune of Buon Don officially came into operation after completing the procedures for rearranging administrative units according to the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Canh Tung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Buon Don commune, said that on the first day of the new government's operation, the commune's leadership quickly stabilized and immediately started handling administrative procedures. Thereby, ensuring the operation of the political system and serving the people smoothly.
The work of receiving documents and guiding people was deployed at the new headquarters in a friendly and friendly atmosphere.
From early morning, there were quite a few people coming to the headquarters of the People's Committee of Buon Don commune to do administrative procedures.

Mr. Pham Duc An (33 years old), has just returned from Buon Ma Thuot ward to Buon Don commune to work on some administrative documents. "The reception area is arranged methodically and solemnly. I was supported by the staff for my work quickly and wholeheartedly. The two-level government will help simplify procedures for people" - Mr. An expressed his confidence.
People have convenience, do not have to go far
Nguyen Cong Dung - Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Buon Don commune - said that the commune previously had more than 20 cadres and civil servants. After the merger of the two-level government, the number of cadres and civil servants has increased to nearly 70 people.
"The spirit of all cadres of the Commune Party Committee and People's Committee is ready to immediately get to work. The organization of a two-level government creates clear convenience for people when they do not have to go through the People's Committee of the commune and then move to the district, shortening time and simplifying procedures" - Mr. Dung added.

Mr. Luong Dac Phuong (57 years old), in Ea Mar village, was the first citizen to come to work on the first day of operating the new government model.
"I was warmly welcomed by the staff. Also working in this job, I used to have to travel nearly 20km to the district to make land papers, now working in the commune saves time and effort, Mr. Phuong excitedly shared.
Buon Don commune (Dak Lak province) has an area of 1,113.79km2. This is the locality identified as the largest commune-level administrative unit in Vietnam.
The area of Buon Don commune is nearly half the area of Hung Yen province (new) which is the province with the smallest area in Vietnam after the merger (2,524.8km2).
The whole Buon Don commune has about 1,730 households and 6,377 people. Of which, the whole commune still has 832 poor and near-poor households with 3,213 people (221 near-poor households, 611 poor households).
