On the afternoon of April 1, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan - Vice Chairman of Xuan Pho Commune People's Committee - said that local people had just discovered two fish with quite strange characteristics that had drifted ashore in Phuc An village. Each child is over 1m long and weighs about 30 -50kg.
Because the fish have died for quite a while and show signs of decomposition, it is not yet known exactly which fish species it is. Initially, according to some local people, this could be whale or pork.
Immediately after receiving the report, the local authorities sent officers directly to the scene, coordinating with the people to move the fish carcasses to the burial area according to local customs, ensuring environmental hygiene.
In Cuong Gian commune (Nghi Xuan district), people also discovered a dead fish drifting ashore in Song Long village.
This fish weighs tens of kilograms, quite similar to whale or pork. After the discovery, people also buried them to ensure environmental hygiene.
