On the evening of September 29, Hiep Binh Ward Police in coordination with the Rach Chiec Traffic Police Team invited two women involved in the video to stir up public opinion about the act of spreading "strange flour" on the street.
The two women invited to work were Ms. T.T.N.S (the motorbike driver) and Ms. N.H.Y (46 years old, who directly spread the flour). Both of them live in Ho Chi Minh City and are related.
Through the work, the authorities determined that the type of powder that Ms. Y. spread on the road was soluble coffee powder, not a banned substance or a toxic chemical as the initial concern of the people.
However, it was initially noted that Ms. Y had signs of neurological abnormalities.
As Lao Dong reported, on September 28, a video was posted on the social network TikTok, attracting more than 5 million views. The video recorded the scene of two women riding a motorbike together, in which the person sitting behind, Ms. Y, continuously torn and scattered dust onto the road. This action was repeated about 30 times, causing people to worry and report to the authorities.
The case is currently being further verified by Hiep Binh Ward Police to handle according to regulations.
