The People's Council of Dong Nai province has just passed resolutions to assign the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee as the competent authority to implement the Phu My 2 bridge construction investment project; Assign the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee as the competent authority to implement the Cat Lai bridge construction investment projects and the Long Hung bridge construction investment project (Dong Nai 2 bridge).
Cat Lai Bridge construction project: The main bridge is more than 3 km long
The project to build Cat Lai bridge and the road at both ends of the bridge with the scale of an urban main road, a design speed of 80 km/h, cross-section of 6 lanes for motor vehicles, 2 lanes for rudimentary vehicles.

The starting point of the project is located on Nguyen Thi Dinh Street (about 400 m from My Thuy intersection, in Cat Lai Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). The end point connects to the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway (in Dai Phuoc Commune, Dong Nai Province).
The project has a total length of 11.642 km. The bridge length is about 3.07 km (the approach bridge on the Ho Chi Minh City side is 1,140 m long, the main bridge is 800 m long, the approach bridge on the Dong Nai side is 1,129 m). The road on the Ho Chi Minh City side is about 972 m, the road on the Dong Nai side is about 7.6 km.
The project has a total investment of VND 20,524 billion, divided into 3 component projects.
Component project 1: Construction of Cat Lai bridge and the access road from the Cat Lai bridge toll station to Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, preliminary total investment of about 12,564 billion (including interest costs of about 1,248 billion VND), invested by Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee in the form of BT payment in cash;
Component project 2: Site clearance in Dong Nai province, preliminary total investment of about VND 2,985 billion, implemented by Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee from the provincial budget;
Component project 3: Site clearance and investment in expanding Nguyen Thi Dinh Street, Ho Chi Minh City. The preliminary total investment is VND 4,975 billion (including interest costs of about VND 461 billion), implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
Long Hung Bridge construction project: The main bridge is a balanced cantilever bridge
The project to build Long Hung bridge (Dong Nai 2 bridge) and the road at both ends of the bridge with the scale of the main urban road, designed speed of 80 km/h; cross-section scale of 6 lanes for motor vehicles, 2 lanes for rudimentary vehicles.

The starting point of the project intersects with Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City at Go Cong intersection (Long Phuoc Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). The end point intersects with National Highway 51 (Tam Phuoc Ward, Dong Nai Province)
The project has a total length of 11.8 km. Of which, the length of the bridge section: 2.34 km (the main bridge is a balanced cantilever bridge); the approach road on the Ho Chi Minh City side is about 4.8 km, the roadway is 60 m; the approach road on the Dong Nai side is about 4.8 km, the roadway is 60 m.
The project has a preliminary total investment of VND 11,758 billion, divided into 3 component projects.
Component project 1: Construction of Long Hung bridge and DT.777B route connecting to the National Highway 51 intersection (preliminary total investment of VND 6,411 billion) implemented by Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee under the form of BT payment in cash.
Component project 2: Site clearance for the entire road on the Dong Nai side (preliminary total investment of 724 billion VND) implemented by the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee using provincial budget capital.
Component project 3: Construction of a connecting road from Go Cong intersection to Long Hung bridge (preliminary total investment of VND 4,218 billion) implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, investment form.
Phu My 2 Bridge Project: The main bridge is 600 m long cable-stayed
The project to build Phu My 2 bridge and the road at both ends of the bridge with the scale of an urban main road, a design speed of 80 km/h, cross-section of 6 lanes for motor vehicles, 2 lanes for rudimentary vehicles. The starting point intersects with Nguyen Huu Tho Street, Ho Chi Minh City. The end point intersects with Road 25C, Dong Nai province.

The total length is about 14.8 km (HCMC is about 4.6 km, Dong Nai is about 10.2 km). The bridge section is about 4.67 km long (the main cable-stayed bridge is about 600 m long, the approach bridge on the Ho Chi Minh City side is about 2.93 km, Dong Nai is about 1.14 km).
The project has a total preliminary investment of about VND 16,445 billion implemented in Nha Be commune (HCMC) and Dai Phuoc commune, Dong Nai province.
Previously, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province submitted a document on the investment method for the construction of Cat Lai bridge, Phu My 2 bridge, Long Hung bridge to connect traffic between Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, it was stated that all 3 projects to build Cat Lai bridge, Long Hung bridge, Phu My 2 bridge are expected to be implemented from 2025 - 2028.
