On the morning of April 22, a serious traffic accident occurred on National Highway 19, passing through Thanh Binh village, Binh Giao commune, Chu Prong district (Gia Lai province), injuring many students.
According to initial information, at around 6:10 a.m. the same day, a 30-seat school bus carrying license plate 81F-001.88 driven by Phan Dinh Du (born in 1968, residing in Binh Giao commune, Chu Prong district) was traveling from Duc Co district to Pleiku city.
The vehicle was currently carrying about 20 secondary and high school students in Chu Prong district.

When reaching Km 200+700 on National Highway 19, the passenger bus suddenly lost control, climbed onto the side of the road and crashed into the premises of a household, about 5m below the road surface.
The passenger bus only stopped after hitting a house gate and overturned.
The accident injured 3 people in the head, 2 people in the hands and some other students who were scratched by impacting broken glass.
Among the injured victims was driver Phan Dinh Du, the rest were students.
Immediately after the accident, local people quickly assisted in taking the victims to medical facilities for emergency care.

Currently, the Traffic Police Department of Gia Lai Province Police is coordinating with Binh Giao Commune Police and related functional units to investigate and clarify the cause of the accident.
