According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, currently along the Hai Tien coast (Hoang Tien commune, Thanh Hoa province) is still in disarray, many sections of the embankment are several kilometers long and are damaged and devastated after the storm.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Chairman of Hoang Tien Commune People's Committee - said that previously, due to the impact of storm No. 5, combined with high tides and big waves, the embankment roof had collapsed in Thanh Xuan and Dong Thanh villages, with a length of about 300m.
In particular, the recent storm No. 10 caused strong waves, causing Hai Tien coastal area to continue to experience landslides on a larger scale, about 1.5km long.

The entire embankment roof on the sea surface has completely sunk and peeled off; the vertical girder and cross- girder system has broken locks; the foot girder in some sections is skewed; the wave-breaking wall is mostly tilted towards the sea.
Notably, the traffic system along the embankment is broken and heavily peeling. Inside, close to the back of the breakwater, the ground and sand have collapsed, forming deep holes, some places are 515m wide, 23m deep.

Faced with the above situation, the People's Committee of Hoang Tien commune has put up warning signs, mobilized patrol forces, closely monitored landslide developments and promptly reported when dangerous situations occurred.
"Currently, the embankment wall is at risk of collapsing at any time, posing a potential danger to people and tourists, and affecting the assets of organizations and individuals in the area. Therefore, the commune has urgently reported to the province to soon have a solution to handle and overcome the situation" - said a representative of the People's Committee of Hoang Tien commune.
