Previously, at the end of 2024, Maserati Vietnam officially introduced the new generation GranTurismo to the domestic market. Compared to its predecessor, this luxury sports coupe model has been comprehensively upgraded from exterior design, chassis platform to interior equipment and powertrain.
The car appearing in Ho Chi Minh City has a white exterior painted in combination with many contrasting black details and a pair of glossy black multi-spoke wheels, creating a sporty and modern look. In the new generation, the GranTurismo has overall dimensions of length x width x height of 4,959 x 1,957 x 1,409 mm, wheelbase reaching 2,929 mm. On the Modena version, the car uses 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch rear wheels.
The new generation GranTurismo is developed on a completely new chassis platform with the proportion of aluminum material accounting for more than 65%, combined with magnesium and high-strength steel to optimize mass and increase body stiffness. The pneumatic suspension system allows lifting and lowering the ground clearance in the range of +25 mm to -17 mm compared to the standard, accompanied by a dual swingarm suspension on the front and multi-point suspension on the rear, contributing to improving operation and stability when moving at high speeds.
Inside the cockpit, the car is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a HUD headlight information display screen, a 12.3-inch central entertainment screen and an 8.8-inch touch screen controlling auxiliary functions. The display system allows customization of many different interfaces to enhance the driver's experience.
In the new generation, the Modena and Trofeo versions no longer use Ferrari-derived V8 engines as before, instead using Nettuno V6 3.0L twin-turbo engines. This engine block produces 490 horsepower and 550 horsepower respectively, helping the car accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.9 seconds and 3.6 seconds.
In addition, the Folgore pure electric version is equipped with three electric motors with a total capacity of 761 horsepower, allowing acceleration from 0–100 km/h in just about 2.7 seconds. This is a notable shift for the GranTurismo line in Maserati's product electrification strategy in the global market.
