On July 20, the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee and the Working Group inspected violations of land and construction at the Khoa Niem resort; the members of the Working Group include: Chairman of the People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, Police, Economic Department, Office of the People's Council and People's Committee of the commune.
After checking the site and listening to the working group report on the scope of the project, the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee requested Mr. Cao Van Niem (Khoa Niem resort) to dismantle and return the site of the violating project before July 28, 2025.
Along with that, the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee assigned the Commune Police to preside over and coordinate with the Economic Department to supervise and urge Mr. Niem's household to dismantle it on schedule, not to block the flow and drainage.
The Economic Department is responsible for monitoring and urging the demolition progress, promptly reporting to the Chairman of the People's Committee on arising issues, and developing a plan for compulsory demolition if households do not carry out demolition themselves.
On July 22, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tan - Chairman of Thanh Thuy Commune People's Committee - said that through the measurement work, the area of violation was determined to be 208m2. Currently, Khoa Niem resort is complying with the request to voluntarily dismantle the violating construction.
Previously, on July 19, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article "Supporting the resort in Phu Tho encroaching on irrigation works", reflecting the concerns and concerns of people in Zone 3, Thanh Thuy Commune when discovering that Khoa Niem resort was building a project encroaching on the water well in residential areas.
According to actual records, Khoa Niem resort is located in a large area, adjacent to a long stream on one side. With the construction project that the people have reported, the first floor has been completed, many items are solidly built.
People believe that the above water sources have the function of both draining floodwaters and being a source of irrigation for agricultural production in the area.
Receiving feedback from the people and the press on the above issue, on July 15, the leaders of Thanh Thuy Commune People's Committee directed the Economic Department to coordinate with the residential area to establish a Working Group to conduct an inspection on the field, suspending construction activities to verify and clarify.
After that, Thanh Thuy Commune People's Committee coordinated with specialized agencies to conduct measurements and determine the scope and boundaries. Thereby, the violation was clarified and handled according to the provisions of law.
