On February 26, at the Thai Binh Provincial Labor Culture House, the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025).
In recent years, the healthcare system in Thai Binh province has been continuously invested, upgraded and improved to meet the requirements of care, protection and improving the health of all people at all levels.
The province currently has 32 hospitals, including 21 public hospitals, 9 private hospitals and 2 hospitals under Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Thai Binh Medical College.
On average, each year, hospitals in the province welcome and examine about 3 million people, treat nearly 400,000 people as inpatients, examine nearly 700,000 poor people in difficult circumstances... The rate of disease recovery and care or reduction is over 90%...
In particular, in the past 10 years (2015-2025), in the face of the need for integration, development and the increasingly high demand for health care of the people, medical examination and treatment in Thai Binh has had innovation, clearly changing both in medicine and ethics and expertise.
Provincial health units are increasingly affirming their position, developing many high-level, specialized techniques, many of which were previously only implemented by the Central level such as: Open heart surgery; Cardiovascular intervention; radiotherapy technique for cancer treatment; Cervical and spinal cord surgery... to help people easily access high-tech medical services right in the locality.
On this occasion, 35 individuals were honored to be awarded the title of Meritorious Doctor by the President; 3 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister; 30 collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province for their outstanding achievements in protecting and caring for people's health.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than - Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee - acknowledged, commended and expressed his deep gratitude to all cadres, employees and workers of the Thai Binh Health Sector for their achievements in the cause of caring for and protecting people's health in recent times.
The Thai Binh Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that despite many difficulties, Thai Binh province always pays special attention, prioritizing investment resources for the development of the health system, meeting the work of caring for and protecting people's health.
To join the whole country in entering a new era, realizing the aspiration to turn Thai Binh into a high-quality medical center of the Red River Delta region, the Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee suggested that the health sector needs to make more efforts, have specific solutions, focus on key tasks, quickly complete the arrangement and streamlining of the political system according to Resolution No. 18 of the Central Executive Committee; successfully organize Party Congresses at all levels towards the National Party Congress; implement the planning of Thai Binh province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
