The Naval Region 2 Command said that at 8:30 p.m. on March 10, the DK1/10, Military Medical Team, stationed on Ca Mau Dckyard, promptly rescued fisherman Dang Quang Nhi (born in 1998), from Ganh Hao town, Dong Hai district (Bac Lieu province) who had an accident while fishing at sea.
Previously, at around 6:45 p.m. the same day, DK1/10 Shipyard received an emergency signal from fishing boat BTr92897TS reporting the incident of fisherman Dang Quang Nhi having an accident due to a crane falling on his head while fishing in Ca Mau sea area (the boat was operating about 30 nautical miles from the shipyard).
Immediately, the DK1/10 Medical Team quickly approached the fishing boat and performed emergency treatment of the wound on the left end behind, 6 cm wide and 1.5 cm deep. At the same time, take professional measures such as IV fluids, cleaning, wound washing, numbness, stitching, pain reliever antibiotics and bandages carefully.
After the emergency treatment, fisherman Dang Quang Nhi was conscious, had good contact and gradually stabilized. DK1/10 boats continue to monitor and transmit seawater and then allow fishermen to return to their fishing boats.
It is known that fishing boat BTr92897TS, captained by Mr. Nguyen Tri Khanh (born in 1983), from Ba Tri district (Ben Tre province), had 4 crew members on board. The boat owner is Mr. Tran Van Son (born in 1986), from Ba Tri district (Ben Tre province).
