In the Project to build at least 1 million social housing units, the Prime Minister assigned the task to local leaders to determine that this is a political task of the individual. Require the Provincial People's Committee to develop and approve specific implementation plans for investment in social housing projects each year and in each stage to ensure local needs.
After 4 years of implementing the project, many localities have recorded a fairly low completion rate for the 2021-2024 period, many provinces and cities have not yet had completed apartments.
According to Decision 444/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on assigning targets for completing social housing in 2025 and the following years until 2030 for localities to add to the socio-economic development targets, there are up to 26 localities that do not have completed apartments in the period of 2021-2024.
Localities include: Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Son La, Thai Nguyen, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai, Dong Thap, Hau Giang, Vinh Long, Soc Trang, Ben Tre, Bac Lieu, Tra Vinh.
Provinces with many industrial parks and many workers have also recorded modest completion levels such as:
Dong Nai 1,660 apartments/22,500 apartments according to the target assigned by 2030);
Binh Duong (2,045 apartments completed/86,900 apartments according to the target assigned by 2030);
City. Ho Chi Minh City (2,745 apartments completed/69,700 apartments according to the target assigned by 2030);
Long An (460 apartments completed/71,200 apartments according to the target assigned by 2030);
Bac Ninh (7,020 apartments completed/72,200 apartments according to the target assigned by 2030).
It is known that the Prime Minister issued a resolution on the target of completing social housing in 2025 and the following years until 2030 for localities to add to the socio-economic development target.
The Prime Minister assigned the target number of apartments in localities that must be completed in the 2025 - 2030 period to 995,445 apartments. Of which, in 2025, there will be 100,275 apartments, in 2026, there will be 116,347 apartments, in 2027, there will be 148,343 apartments, in 2028, there will be 172,402 apartments; in 2029, there will be 186,917 apartments and in 2030, there will be 271,161 apartments.
According to the plan, on March 6, the Government will organize a national conference to remove difficulties and obstacles, and promote the development of social housing. The conference was connected online with 63 provinces and cities.
The goal of the conference is to find solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in social housing development and implement the Project to build at least 1 million houses for low-income people and workers in the period of 2021-2030.
