The coercion is implemented based on the 2024 Land Law and the guiding documents; At the same time, based on the land recovery decisions of the Hanoi People's Committee and the plan of compensation, support and resettlement has been approved by the District People's Committee.
According to the coercive decision, from 8am on April 18, 2025, the district's land acquisition committee will deploy enforcement at the land parcels located at residential quarter No. 3, Me Tri Thuong, Me Tri ward, with a total area of more than 1,759m² of 28 households. The coercion time takes place during office hours, lasting until the entire process is completed.
The People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District has informed to the relevant departments, departments and functional units, the People's Committee of Me Tri ward and 28 households subject to coercion to coordinate and implement the work in accordance with regulations.
As of 20:00 on April 15, all 28 households received the coercive notice. In particular, a household has voluntarily handed over an area of 24.3m², bringing the total number of households that have handed over the project ground to 760. The remaining 27 households will be forced.
Earlier, on March 27, 2025, at the campaign meeting, the District People's Committee directly listened and answered opinions from the people.

Up to now, local authorities, mass organizations and district land fund development centers have repeatedly organized propaganda, advocacy and dialogue to persuade households to receive compensation and hand over the ground.
Vice Chairman of Nam Tu Liem District People's Committee requested the remaining households to seriously abide by the decision to recover land, and emphasize: "In the process of continuing to consider and settle complaints, households still have to fulfill their obligations to hand over land in accordance with regulations".
