The Vietnamese team has just finished a 10-day training trip in Korea. Immediately after returning home, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team immediately went to Phu Tho and practiced at Viet Tri Stadium for 2 sessions before continuing to Laos.
According to the schedule of Group B, the Vietnamese team will have their opening match against Laos on December 9. After that, the whole team will return home to welcome the Indonesian team on December 15.
In the last two matches of the group stage, Quang Hai and his teammates will face the Philippines on December 18 (away) and Myanmar on December 21 (home).
The tight schedule and constant travel will more or less affect the players' physical strength. Therefore, in the past few days, the coaching staff has focused on improving the physical strength and endurance of the whole team before honing their skills.
In the next 1-2 days, coach Kim Sang-sik will finalize the official list of 26 Vietnamese players participating in the AFF Cup 2024, which means 7 people will be eliminated.
