Attending and directing the Congress was Mr. Le Chung Van - Member of the Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor's Trade Union Work Committee.
On the local side, there were Mr. Vo Manh Son - Secretary of the Nong Cong Commune Party Committee, along with representatives of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations, departments, and professional offices of the commune; leaders of enterprises with trade unions and 105 outstanding delegates, representing more than 4,500 union members in the area.
According to the Nong Cong Commune Trade Union, the unit was established under Decision No. 641/QD-LDLD dated July 1, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, currently monitoring and managing 11 grassroots trade unions with 4,541 union members and workers in the two communes of Nong Cong and Thang Loi.
The employment situation, wages and lives of workers, civil servants and laborers in the area have been gradually improved, with 97% of workers having stable jobs. The activities of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers continue to innovate, creating a widespread influence.
The work of negotiating, signing and supervising the implementation of collective labor agreements has had positive changes, currently 86% of enterprise-based trade unions have represented negotiations and signed collective labor agreements. The work of ensuring occupational safety and hygiene and fire prevention has received attention from grassroots unions and employers.
The commune union also effectively implemented the union member welfare program, organized activities to care for the material and spiritual lives of workers; regularly visited and presented gifts to union members and workers who were sick or in difficulty, contributing to strengthening the trust and attachment of union members to the union organization.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Le Chung Van acknowledged and praised the results that the Nong Cong Commune Trade Union has achieved since its establishment. He suggested that the commune trade union continue to innovate and improve the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization work for union members and workers; focus on performing the task of representing, protecting and caring for the legitimate and legal rights of union members; promote emulation movements, contribute to improving the quality of life of workers, and build a strong trade union organization.
At the Congress, the Presidium announced the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor on the appointment of the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee and key positions of the Nong Cong Commune Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term, including 5 members of the Executive Committee and 3 members of the Inspection Committee.
