On November 15, at Sa Dec Industrial Park (Sa Dec ward, Dong Thap province), the Trade Union of Truong Giang Seafood Joint Stock Company held the 4th Congress of Grassroots Trade Union Delegates (CDCS) for the 2025-2030 term.
Attending the Congress were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation; Mr. Vo Nam Phuong - Production Director of Truong Giang Seafood Joint Stock Company, and 100 official delegates representing more than 1,800 union members at the unit.
In the period of 2023 - 2025, although there are still many difficulties in terms of facilities and operating conditions, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Truong Giang Seafood Joint Stock Company has promoted the spirit of initiative and creativity, closely following the direction of the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation and the attention of the Company's Board of Directors, gradually bringing trade union activities into discipline and efficiency.
The union closely coordinates with the company to fully implement the regimes and policies for employees: 100% of employees are eligible to participate in social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance; organize periodic health check-ups; take care of Tet for 100% of union members; visit and support union members in difficult circumstances, sick, or hospitable; coordinate with the higher-level union to give Tet gifts to union members in difficult circumstances; organize many exciting movement activities such as football, volleyball, tug of war, flower arrangement, etc., contributing to creating an atmosphere of solidarity and cohesion among workers and laborers.
The Congress also frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in Trade Union activities in recent times, such as: some cultural and sports movements have not been maintained regularly; propaganda and mobilization work is sometimes not timely; Trade Union officials work part-time, so there are still limited time limits...
The Congress also listened to, discussed and agreed on the goals and directions of trade union activities for the 2025-2030 term. The focus is on innovating the content and methods of operation on the digital transformation platform, building the model of "Digital Trade Union - Digital Workers", improving the capacity of union officials, promoting the role of representing and protecting the rights of workers and laborers and accompanying businesses to successfully implement project development goals.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Congress set the goal for the 2025 - 2030 term as: continuing to innovate the content and methods of trade union activities; improving the effectiveness of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; widely launching emulation movements "Good workers, creative workers", "Good at public work - Good at housework"; "The model of the Pregnant Women's Club and raising young children"; building a strong and worthy trade union organization as a reliable support for workers.
Strive for 100% of eligible workers to be admitted to the union; organize periodic dialogues, sign collective labor agreements to supplement provisions beneficial to workers; build at least 02 typical emulation movement models, build a "Union Cultural Corner" to create space for activities, exchanges, and solidarity with union members.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation acknowledged and praised the results of the Trade Union of Truong Giang Seafood Joint Stock Company in the past time, and emphasized: "The Trade Union needs to continue to promote its role as a bridge between workers and employers, better care for union members' lives, and contribute to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises".
The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Truong Giang Seafood Joint Stock Company, term IV, 2025 - 2030, including 11 comrades and elected 01 delegates to attend the 1st Congress of the Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union, term 2025 - 2030. At the 1st Executive Committee Conference, Comrade Phung Thi Ly Ngoc continued to be elected as Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Truong Giang Seafood Joint Stock Company, term 2025 - 2030.
