On October 27, the Trade Union of Rochdale Spears Co., Ltd. (Tan Khanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) announced that it had organized a support handover to the family of a union member who suffered a stroke.
That is the case of Mr. L.V.T (born in 1976, from An Giang province), working in the Finishing department - factory 2 of Rochdale Spears Company Limited.
Mr. L.V.T unfortunately died of a stroke, leaving behind 3 children. Currently, Mr. T's 2 children are looking for jobs, and the youngest has just dropped out of school. Mr. L.V.T's wife works as a housewife to conveniently take care of her elderly mother who is over 70 years old this year. Mr. L.V.T is the main breadwinner who has to leave his hometown to work as a worker in Ho Chi Minh City to take care of his family. When Mr. T passed away, his family fell into difficult circumstances.
Faced with the above situation, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union launched a fundraising campaign to support Mr. L.V.T's family. After a period of mobilization, the company and all union members have raised 109.7 million VND. On October 27, representatives of the Trade Union and the Board of Directors of the company presented the support money to Mr. T's family. Hopefully his family will strive to overcome the difficult period.
