Construction Trade Union supports 24,301 workers

Strengthening the work of caring for the lives of union members and employees

Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union (VTC) - said that in the past 3 years (2023-2025), the VTC has presented gifts to 131 collectives and 24,301 individuals, especially union members and workers (DV, NLD) in difficult circumstances with a total amount of VND 21.888 billion; affiliated units have organized to care for 162,673 NLD and NLD with a total amount of VND 284.137 billion; organized trips or supported tickets and trains for 3,842 NLD and NLD to return home for Tet...

The "Union Shelter" program continues to be replicated throughout the industry with 50 newly built and repaired houses, the total cost of this activity is VND 2.507 billion, which has contributed to practically improving the lives of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, while joining hands to implement the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses according to the policies of the Party and the Government.

With the tradition of "mutual love", for many years, social and charitable activities have always been implemented and organized by trade unions at all levels, typically: Organizing propaganda and mobilizing workers to support people affected by storms and floods; organizing humanitarian blood donation activities; giving gifts to people in mountainous provinces and poor children; organizing gratitude activities on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27)... with hundreds of billions of VND. In particular, the Vietnam Construction Trade Union has coordinated with the Vietnam Transport Trade Union Charity Fund to maintain good support activities for workers.

In the period of 2023 - 2025, the Vietnam Transport Trade Union Charity Fund has supported 224 groups, 5,566 members and employees; presented 1,200 gifts to former youth volunteers, 600 gifts to former soldiers of Truong Son Ho Chi Minh Road in difficult circumstances and other charitable activities with a total amount of more than 15.887 billion VND.

Emulation and reward work is still an important highlight

Every year, trade unions at all levels in the industry regularly coordinate with professional colleagues at the same level to maintain and promote the positive results of the emulation movement "Good workers, Creative workers". In the past 3 years, 6,539 topics, initiatives, and technical improvements have been applied, bringing in a value of VND1,166 billion; 504 works and products have been recognized, bringing in a value of VND425 billion, units have spent VND3.88 billion to reward collectives and individuals with good achievements.
