Businesses consider employees as precious capital

With a scale of about 30,000 workers, Luxshare-ICT Co., Ltd. (Nghe An) is not only a leading foreign investor in the region but also a bright spot in taking care of workers' lives. From quality meals to living and spiritual environment, the business has built a comprehensive welfare ecosystem, thereby affirming the philosophy of sustainable development associated with human values.

Taking care of workers from meal times

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (32 years old, residing in Lam Thanh commune, Nghe An province) used to work as a worker in the South for many years. At the beginning of 2025, wanting to be close to her family, she decided to return to her hometown and join Luxshare-ICT Co., Ltd. (Nghe An). "When I started working here, I was very surprised by the care, attention, welfare regimes and infrastructure of the business for employees. I feel respected and want to stick with the business for a long time" - Ms. Hoa shared. Ms. Hoa's feeling is also the common mood of tens of thousands of workers working at one of the most typical FDI enterprises in Nghe An province, where people are placed at the center of all development strategies.

One of the things that makes Ms. Hoa and many other workers feel attached is the quality of lunch meals at the enterprise. With a scale of up to 30,000 workers, organizing meals for tens of thousands of people at the same time is not a simple problem. However, Luxshare-ICT Nghe An has done this very well with methodicalness and dedication.

Mr. Le Khanh Minh - Chairman of the company's grassroots Trade Union - said that the company arranges two large dining halls, serving workers throughout working hours. The atmosphere in the dining hall is always lively, clean and tidy. The menu is built with more than 10 choices such as vermicelli, pho, fried rice, rice according to dishes and is changed regularly, helping workers not to get bored. Ms. Hoa confided: "In the old company, meals were only about a few dishes, many days I had to buy food outside. Coming here, every day I feel like I'm going to a miniature food market, every dish is attractive.

Meals are designed with many flexible price levels from 15,000 VND to 25,000 VND so that workers can freely choose according to their taste and budget. What is precious is that the business supports nearly 20,000 VND per meal, raising the total average support level to about 45,000 VND/person/day. Thus, for a worker to eat all three shifts, the amount of money supported each month is not small. "Many days I choose a 15,000 VND meal, the business supports almost everything, I only have to pay a little more, considering lunch almost free" - Ms. Hoa excitedly recounted.

To ensure quality and food safety, Luxshare-ICT applies a strict control model. The company organizes bidding to select reputable meal suppliers, and at the same time invests in the entire kitchen system and modern processing equipment, while the contractor only provides cooking personnel. This approach helps businesses be proactive from the raw material to the finished product stage, each meal reaching workers is hot, ensuring hygiene and full nutrition. Mr. Le Khanh Minh affirmed: "We control every gram of meat, vegetable stalk to ensure workers can eat deliciously and cleanly. The kitchen is the pride of the company.

Businesses see workers as valuable capital

Not only stopping at meals, the philosophy of "considering workers as precious capital" is also reflected in each welfare policy and working environment at Luxshare-ICT Nghe An. Living more than 50km from the company, Ms. Le Thi Huong (28 years old, residing in Hai Chau commune) is most worried about accommodation and living expenses. But all concerns quickly subsided when she was admitted to the company's free dormitory. The dormitory is built spaciously, with a capacity of tens of thousands of people, fully equipped with air conditioning, hot and cold water, gym, and sports playground. Ms. Huong shared: "Before, when working in the North, I had to rent a room, which was both cramped and expensive. Now living in a free dormitory, the amenities are no different from a high-class apartment, I have saved a considerable amount to send back to my parents." In addition, the daily free shuttle bus system helps workers far away not have to struggle to travel.

Regarding income, Luxshare-ICT workers enjoy a competitive salary and many attractive allowances. The total average monthly income reaches from 9 to 12 million VND, if overtime, it can be up to 14 million VND. Ms. Huong added: "Basic salary is already good, but I also receive housing allowance of 500,000 VND, gasoline of 300,000 VND, diligence of 300,000 VND, and seniority from 200 to 600,000 VND. All the amounts combined make me very reassured to work.

The spiritual life of workers is also particularly focused on by businesses. Every year, the company organizes the Luxshare Sports Festival - Cup, attracting thousands of workers to participate in football, badminton, tug of war... Besides, the Miss - Mister contest is also a highly anticipated playground, helping workers confidently shine and connect. On holidays and Tet, meaningful gifts are handed directly to workers. Mid-Autumn Festival 2025, the company's trade union has given nearly 30,000 gifts and cakes to all employees, including foreign workers and subcontractor workers. Lunar New Year, warm gifts come to workers in difficult circumstances, showing the sharing and companionship of the business.

Ms. Huong emotionally said: "I never thought a large company would care for each employee like that. From meals, sleep to playgrounds, everything is thoughtful. I really want to stick with it for a long time and consider it my second home." The story of Ms. Hoa and Ms. Huong is clear evidence that Luxshare-ICT Nghe An has been and is building a humane working environment where employees are truly respected.

Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation - highly appreciated the model of caring for workers at Luxshare-ICT. He emphasized: "The enterprise has shown a profound humanistic view when truly considering workers as precious capital, the most important asset for sustainable development. Practical ways of doing things, from caring for meals, accommodation, income to spiritual life for tens of thousands of workers are the model that the Provincial Labor Federation will research, promote and replicate to other businesses in the area.
