Starting from May, the number of orders at An Do Duong Company Limited (Thot Not Industrial Park, Can Tho City) tends to increase. The abundant number of orders is expected to ensure jobs and income for workers and laborers by the end of 2025.
To meet the order schedule, along with increasing recruitment, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bang Tuyen - Head of Human Resources Department and Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union (CDCS) of An Do Duong Company Limited - said that the company is very interested in retaining long-time, skilled workers.
"Many departments require skilled workers such as fillets and styling. Meanwhile, the young workforce often tends to change jobs quickly. The main reasons can be because of insured pressure, difficulty meeting job requirements or inadequate productivity. Some workers with health problems such as bones and joints, sinusitis... cannot adapt to low-term working environments, said Ms. Tuyen.

Accordingly, in addition to the salary, bonus and allowance policies guaranteed according to regulations, the company and the unit's Trade Union have maintained activities of caring for, visiting, and giving gifts to union members and workers (Union members, employees) in difficulty, sick, or ill. Every year, the unit also rewards in cash from 300,000 VND/child (depending on the level of education), for children of union members and employees with good and excellent academic achievements.
In particular, on the occasion of celebrating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025), the Trade Union has paid nearly 1,500 union members a cash bonus of VND 70,000/person. "The activities aim to care for, encourage, and help union members and employees, especially skilled workers, feel secure in their work and stick with the company, and produce effectively," Ms. Tuyen shared.
Discussing the production situation of the enterprise, Mr. Tran Xuan Dinh - Chairman of the Trade Union of Mekong Joint Stock Company (Tra Noc Industrial Park, Can Tho City) - estimated that in the last 6 months of the year, workers' jobs and income will be guaranteed thanks to a stable number of orders.
Since May, the company has started recruiting and currently has a workforce that basically meets the job requirements. With over 1,000 employees, Mr. Dinh said that most of the workers attached to the company are elderly people who have worked for a long time. In particular, the young working class is quite likely to change jobs, which also affects recruitment.
"In the context of old workers being old, young workers are uncomfortable with pressure, we pay special attention to the issue of retaining skilled workers by ensuring regimes and policies according to the provisions of law such as salary, bonus, social insurance..." - Mr. Dinh said.
The grassroots trade union also regularly cares for and ensures welfare for union members and employees according to collective labor agreements such as nutritious shift meals; visits, donations, and support for cases of illness and difficulties; rewards union members and employees' children with good academic achievements...

Can Tho City Employment Service Center said that in the first 6 months of the year, the demand for business recruitment in the city recorded more than 9,300 employees, an increase of about 2,000 people compared to the same period last year. The unit has provided job counseling, employment policies and vocational training to 93,613 employees; introduced jobs at home and abroad to about 9,000 people.
To achieve the above results, the center organized many job fairs such as the Employer Meeting Day at the Center's headquarters; Job Fair at universities in the area; Online job fairs in the Mekong Delta, Southeast and neighboring provinces; Weekly job fairs at the Employment Coffee model.
