On January 7, at the Conference Hall of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor, Emulation Bloc No. 2, including the following units: Provincial Federation of Labor, Provincial Women's Union, Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Provincial Veterans Association, Provincial Farmers' Association, and Provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, held a conference to summarize the emulation covenant in 2024 and deploy directions and tasks in 2025.
With the spirit of solidarity, innovation, flexibility and creativity, in 2024, Emulation Bloc No. 2 effectively implemented the set goals and tasks with many bright spots in the emulation movement, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
Through the implementation of the 2024 thematic emulation movement "The Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations promote the spirit of self-reliance, diligence, and cooperation of union members, association members and people to contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality", Emulation Block No. 2 has organized care for union members, association members and people with more than 600,000 gifts, totaling nearly 240 billion VND.
The emulation bloc has carried out 5,326 projects and works, with a value of more than 128 billion VND; implemented the Campaign "Eliminating temporary houses" in the province, period 2024 - 2029, supporting the construction of 1,266 houses with a total amount of more than 100 billion VND; mobilized support for people affected by storm No. 3 with an amount of 24.1 billion VND...
At the Conference, delegates shared many good models and creative ways of doing things in 2024 such as: Thematic conference on "Developing union members, establishing non-state sector trade unions"; Collective wedding ceremony for workers in non-state enterprises; Women classifying, collecting and treating waste; Applying information technology in Association activities; Eliminating temporary houses; Breakthrough tasks to build a comprehensively strong Association; Model 1+5 (1 Veteran Association member in charge of propaganda and mobilizing 5 adjacent households), Farmer Association members become professional farmers; Building playgrounds for children in residential areas through promoting the Cultural - Community Learning Center at the commune level and Cultural Houses of hamlets, villages, etc.
On this occasion, Emulation Block No. 2 proposed that the Provincial People's Committee award the Comprehensive Emulation Flag to the Provincial Labor Federation, Comprehensive Certificates of Merit to the Provincial Women's Union, Provincial Veterans Association and thematic Certificate of Merit to the Provincial Farmers' Association.
The conference also elected the Provincial Women's Union as Head of Emulation Block No. 2 and the Provincial Veterans Association as Deputy Head of Emulation Block No. 2; launched the thematic emulation "The Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Dong Thap province" and signed the emulation covenant for 2025.
