The recent report on the implementation of the project "Developing labor relations in Ho Chi Minh City for the period 2022-2026" by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (HCMC) shows that the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation is the first unit in the country to conduct a survey and collect 246 collective labor agreements for the garment and footwear industries in the city.

Thereby, a set of criteria for recommending grassroots trade unions in collective bargaining towards signing collective labor agreements was developed. At the same time, organize a pilot collective bargaining program, sign collective labor agreements with many garment and footwear enterprises to participate.

From 2022 to present, in Ho Chi Minh City, 1,927 new labor agreements have been signed, bringing the total number of collective labor agreements to 10,824 copies (on-call 9,136 copies, of which 4,147 were assessed by the direct superior trade union, proposing to be classified as A and B to 45.93%).

In general, the quality of collective labor agreements has gradually improved compared to before. In particular, there are many contents that are more beneficial to employees than those prescribed by law such as collective welfare regimes, working hours and rest hours, wages, bonuses, benefits, professional training, and recruitment.

At the same time, improve working conditions, quality of mid-shift meals, labor insurance regimes, sightseeing, holiday and Tet allowances, emergency allowances, some regimes for female workers, support for accommodation, means of transportation, etc.
