The Department of Home Affairs of Dong Nai province recently sent a document to enterprises in Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park regarding the implementation of regimes and policies for enterprises and employees when relocating Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park.
According to the Department of Home Affairs, based on the results of a survey on the actual policy beneficiary needs of workers working in Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park, it shows that current policies that are still in effect have basically met the requirements and aspirations of workers.
On that basis, the Department of Home Affairs agreed with relevant departments, branches and sectors to propose not to advise on the issuance of new policies or specific support policies of localities in the process of implementing the conversion of the function of Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park into a commercial - service urban area and improving the environment.
Therefore, the current policy applied when implementing relocation is specifically:
For enterprises that have a need for labor training due to changes in labor structure or technological innovation, enterprises that need labor training will enjoy policies to support training, fostering and improving vocational skills for employees, in order to maintain stable jobs and ensure human resources in accordance with production and business requirements.
Regarding policies for workers, there are cases: In cases where workers have a need to find jobs in industrial parks, the Provincial Employment Service Center will advise and introduce free jobs. During the process of finding a job, workers can prepare documents to receive unemployment benefits until they have a new job;
The Department of Home Affairs also outlines cases and provides specific guidance for: Cases where employees retire and enjoy unemployment insurance benefits; Cases where employees have a need to work abroad under contracts; Cases where employees do not continue to participate in the centralized labor market and have a need to create jobs for themselves; Cases where employees are eligible for retirement benefits or employees do not have a need to return to the labor market and do not continue to participate in social insurance.
Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has issued Decision No. 324/QD-UBND dated February 5, 2024 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee approving the project to convert Bien Hoa Industrial Park 1 into Urban - Trade - Service Area and improve the environment.
Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park is the oldest industrial park in Vietnam, established in 1963 under the name Bien Hoa Industrial Park. After 1975, Bien Hoa Industrial Park changed its name to Bien Hoa Industrial Park 1.
