On July 28, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor (DOLF) selected 2 enterprises to " score" to implement the "Union Meal" for more than 3,800 union members and workers.

More than 2,000 workers of Bodynits Tien Giang Company Limited, along with company leaders and the Trade Union, gathered in the joyful and warm atmosphere of the "Union Meal". The program was attended by Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor, Mr. Hoang Khac Tinh - Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Board of Directors of the company.

Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor - emphasized: "Union Meals are a humane activity, demonstrating concern for the material and spiritual life of workers and creating cohesion between the union and the enterprise. This is also an opportunity for workers to feel sharing; businesses listen and understand the thoughts and aspirations of workers".
A representative of the Board of Directors of Bodynits Company shared that employees are the center of sustainable development. Today's meal with a rich and quality menu is a tribute to the workers who have been attached and contributed to the company.

Each meal at Bodynits is prepared with a nutritious menu, worth 68,000 VND, of which the enterprise supports 23,000 VND and the grassroots union supports 45,000 VND/meal. The sauce for salty dishes includes: Noodles, fried chicken and soft drinks. For vegetarian dishes: Meat, fried chicken thigh mushrooms, pork sausage, soy milk, yogurt, soft drinks.

At Nghi Phong Joint Venture Company Limited, nearly 1,800 workers also participated in the "Union Meal" in an exciting atmosphere. The program was attended by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, representatives of My Ngai ward and the company's Board of Directors.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor - affirmed that the Union meal is not only a meal but also sends a message of sharing and gratitude to workers - those who directly contribute to the development of businesses.

The representative of the management of Nghi Phong Joint Venture Company Limited said that he always considers workers as the most important factor, so he constantly improves the quality of shift meals, ensures nutrition, food hygiene and safety and takes care of the spiritual life of workers.
Ms. Tran Ngoc Han - a worker at the company - expressed: "The Union Meal not only brings delicious dishes but also helps us feel the care, warmth and attachment as in a big family."
At the program, each meal is carefully prepared with full soups, salty dishes or vegetarian dishes, stir-fried dishes and desserts, worth 46,000 VND/meal, of which the grassroots union supports an additional 28,000 VND, the remaining 18,000 VND is the value of each shift meal made by the Company's Board of Directors for employees every day.

The salty rice menu includes freshly stewed ribs, fried chicken thighs with fish sauce, stir-fried mixed, rib soup and an apple; the vegetarian rice menu includes freshly stewed fish and pepper, boiled vegetables, young tofu soup and an apple.
On this occasion, 73 union members in difficult circumstances were presented with gifts, each worth VND500,000 from the grassroots union's financial resources.
Union Meal has become a meaningful activity, contributing to spreading the spirit of solidarity, care and sharing, helping workers feel secure at work and stay with the enterprise for a long time.
This activity clearly demonstrates the role of the Trade Union organization through dialogue and negotiation with employers to implement Conclusion No. 03/KL-BCH dated January 18, 2022 of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on improving the quality of shift meals. Meals are organized at reasonable costs, ensuring food safety, not affecting production and business activities and in accordance with the actual conditions of each business.
