On October 3, the National Assembly Delegation of Phu Yen province coordinated with the Provincial Federation of Labor to organize a meeting with voters who are workers, civil servants, and laborers in the area. Nearly 200 delegates representing the voices of workers, laborers, and union officials at all levels attended the meeting.

Informing voters, the representative of the National Assembly Delegation of Phu Yen province said that the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly is scheduled to open on October 21 and close on November 30. At the session, the National Assembly will consider and pass 16 Laws, 2 Resolutions, and give opinions on 12 draft Laws... Of which, there are 4 draft Laws that have an impact on trade union officials, workers, and civil servants, namely the Amended Trade Union Law, the Employment Law, the Teachers Law, and the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance.
At the meeting with voters, there were 21 opinions and recommendations from workers and civil servants related to the revised Trade Union Law, the revised Employment Law, unemployment benefits, health insurance, retirement age for some occupations and some current regimes, policies and regulations for workers, civil servants and laborers.
In particular, many opinions related to Trade Union officials were proposed such as: Consider increasing the Union's initiative in arranging grassroots trade union officials; recruitment policy to attract experienced trade union officials who have grown up from the grassroots; consider the provisions in the Trade Union Law on reasonable and appropriate time for trade union officials to perform trade union duties, avoiding "leveling"...

Voters and workers also proposed that the National Assembly consider increasing the unemployment benefit from 60% to 75% (equal to the maximum pension level), to support workers to have a minimum living when they lose their jobs, become unemployed and limit the withdrawal of Social Insurance at one time...
Listening to and absorbing voters' recommendations and opinions, Mr. Le Van Thin - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Phu Yen province said that he will collect and recommend to the National Assembly and drafting agencies to supplement the relevant Laws and Law projects before promulgation.
On this occasion, the Phu Yen Provincial Labor Federation presented 59 gifts to workers, civil servants, and laborers in the area who were in difficult circumstances or had accidents and injuries; each gift was worth 1 million VND.
