On the occasion of the 2025 Lunar New Year, Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. organized 5 sleeper bus trips to take 200 workers and laborers from the Central and Northern provinces back to their hometowns. After Tet, workers' buses return to production.
Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that the total value of this activity is more than 500 million VND, workers are completely exempted from bus tickets. In addition to supporting the bus trip, the grassroots union also organized a year-end celebration with 200 union members and workers living far away from home in Binh Duong to celebrate Tet.
At the program, the Trade Union gave each worker a gift worth 800,000 VND (500,000 VND in cash and a gift basket of 300,000 VND).
The union also cooperates with the supermarket system to implement a preferential price sales program from 10-45% at the union supermarket in the company, helping union members have better conditions to ensure welfare.
"The effect of supermarkets is to help workers buy goods more conveniently, cheaply, and more economically. Through this model, the effectiveness of caring for the material and spiritual lives of trade unions for workers is improved. According to the Binh Duong Provincial Labor Federation, Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. is one of the enterprises that are always ready to support the activities of the Trade Union organization.
Every year, Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. always has activities to care for the lives of union members and workers, especially on holidays, Tet, and Workers' Month. The Trade Union coordinated with the company to visit and give gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, sick people, and workers' accidents.
For particularly difficult and pious cases, the grassroots trade union mobilizes donations throughout the company with large sums of money, helping workers overcome difficulties. Every Lunar New Year, the company organizes spring trips to pick up and drop off workers to return home for Tet and reunite with their families. Organize meaningful playgrounds for Tet.
Many recommendations of the Executive Board of the Trade Union on improving the lives of workers have been responded to by business leaders, such as building a Trade Union supermarket, responding to by arranging appropriate space for the supermarket to operate.
The trade union supermarket model is currently applied first at the company headquarters in Di An. Then it was deployed to the remaining branches in My Phuoc, Ben Cat, Binh Duong Industrial Parks and branches in Tra Vinh province.
Enterprise opens kindergarten to raise workers' children
Binh Duong Provincial Federation of Labor said that Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. is one of the few enterprises that built kindergartens to care for and raise workers' children.
Based on the understanding of the difficulties of workers in sending children, school fees, accommodation rent, etc., the grassroots Trade Union boldly proposed to the board of directors of the company to build a kindergarten right in the campus in Ben Cat.
This model brings practical results by helping workers feel secure in overtime and overtime while still having someone to take care of their children. The tuition fee is only a few hundred thousand VND per month - a very low contribution, suitable for the income of workers.
